AANR MIDWEST RECIPIENTS OF 2007 AANR AWARDS
At the Annual AANR Awards Event held during AANR’s 76th Annual Convention at The Willamettans in Marcola, Oregon in August, three clubs in our Midwest Region received recognition and were honored with awards.
Congratulations and accolades to:
- Fred Roessler, owner with his wife Jo Anne of Cedar Trails Club, received the Rick Athearn Photography Award for a photograph published on the front cover of the November 2006 issue of The Bulletin.
- The Minnesota Naturists in Minneapolis, Minnesota received th Ilsley Boone Best Club Newsletter Award for clubs with 10 to 50 members.
- The Forty Acre Club in Lonedell, Missouri, received once again the Ilsley Boone Best Club Newsletter Award for clubs with 200 to 500 members.
These represent outstanding accomplishments on the part of members and clubs in our region.

These represent outstanding accomplishments on the part of members and clubs in our region. The AANR Midwest Hall of Fame Committee announced its election of two nominees to its Hall of Fame. The recipients, both receiving this award posthumously, will be recognized with engraved platelets to be added to the Hall of Fame display case and plaques presented in their honor.
The recipients are:
- The Adams Family, Elmer and Lucille Adams Sunshine Gardens in Battle Creek, Michigan
- Cathryn Finney Forty Acre Club in Lonedell, Missouri
The Hall of Fame Committee also announced the nomination and selection of two persons to receive the AANR Midwest Service Award:
- Deb Hauptman from Avatan in Minneapolis, Minnesota For her efforts to build the WINR program in the Midwest Region
- Scott Trost from Lake O’ The Woods Club in Valparaiso, Indiana For his work on the Midwest Region’s website Congratulations to these honored recipients.
AANR MIDWEST SCHOLARSIP RECIPIENTS
The AANR Midwest Scholarship Committee announced the recipients of 2007 Scholarship Award in the amount of $2000 each:
- Lindsey Westerhof from Turtle Lake Resort in Union City, Michigan
- Norma Miles from Fern Hills Club in Bloomington, Indiana
Two additional Scholarships in the amount of $1000 each were awarded to:
- Josh Johnson from Fern Hills Club in Bloomington, Indiana
- Adam Erickson from Blue Lake Club in Erie, Illinois
Congratulations to these scholarship recipients.
AANR MIDWEST MATCHING GRANT RECIPIENT
The AANR Midwest Matching Grant Committee announced the award of the 2007 Matching Grant to:
- Forest Hills Club in Saranac, Michigan
For assistance with capital improvements to the club’s on grounds electrical system.
Congratulations to Forest Hill on receiving this awarded grant in the Fiftieth Anniversary Year.
